Confessions of a Shopaholic

I am very ashamed to write review about this book.(Very late review)
Because I think I'm the last person on the earth reading this book.I bet that everyone would have watched this movie. But I didn't.Because I always have the habit of watching  movie only after reading the book.

Usually in movies they miss some parts and movies  fail to portray the little things explained beautifully
in the book.

Becky Bloomwood – a fun and feisty financial journalist who loves shopping but is hopeless with money. She don't know anything about finance.Becky has the same character as mine.

Whenever I read a book,I always imagine myself in the place of the main role.
I did the same thing while reading this book, but then only I realized that My character is the same as
that of Becky.

I am afraid i don't have as much debts as Becky. Becky is so obsessed about shopping.
Sophie Kinsella has explained each and every detail  about the Denny and George scarf,Jigsaw suit, whatever Becky buys clearly. After reading that,I also started yearning for that scarf.

Basically,I also love shopping. And the most favorite  for me is eating street foods.
My mother used to scold me for eating outside as it is Unhealthy. But I'm not able to control it.

Becky always tries a way to run away from  Derek Smeath(bank manager).
The reasons she used to escape was so realistic, like the reasons I use to escape from professors and
higher officials.

I was fed up in figuring out the boyfriend of Becky. But at last thank god she didn't get committed with Tarquin. Because I kind of hated him.I liked Luke Brandon's character. He was so cool.
And when he accepted the mistake done by flagstaff,
I started liking that character a lot.

Becky's sudden transformation into a successful woman made me gain confidence.
From that i understood the saying "Opportunity knocks the door only once".
So please make use of the opportunity when it comes. Don't postpone things.Open your eyes and see things clearly. Explore things.I am very excited to read the other books by Sophie Kinsella.

If Opportunity doesn't knock,build a door.
Milton Berle.

Opportunity is missed by most people because it is dressed
in overalls and looks like work.

About the author:

Sophie wrote her first novel under her real name, Madeleine Wickham, at the tender age of 24, whilst she was working as a financial journalist. The Tennis Party was immediately hailed as a success by critics and the public alike and became a top ten bestseller. She went on to publish six more novels as Madeleine Wickham: A Desirable Residence, Swimming Pool Sunday, The Gatecrasher, The Wedding Girl, Cocktails for Three and Sleeping Arrangements.

She submitted her first ‘Sophie Kinsella’ novel anonymously to her existing publishers and it was snapped up without her editors knowing that she was already one of their authors. It wasn't until the appropriately titled Can You Keep a Secret? was published that Sophie revealed her true identity for the first time.

Sophie was born in London. She studied music at New College, Oxford, but after a year switched to Politics, Philosophy and Economics. She now lives in London, UK, with her husband and family.
