This is my second story!!!
Sofia's mother died one month back. This is the first death she has witnessed in her lifetime.
During her mom's funeral, she didn't know how to react. The meaning of Death was not clear to her.
She thought death is like a long sleep and that her mom would wake up after the funeral. But when she saw her mom's coffin being buried, she started crying and wanted her mother back.
All her friends and relatives consoled her and took her home. They were staying with her for ten days and then they went to carry their work.
Sofia was all alone in her home. She felt sick. She thought," What am I going to do now? My life is been spoiled. How am I going to survive in this house?"
She could see her mom in every nook and corner of the house. She could feel her presence.
Sofia went to her dad and asked when will her mom return from the grave. He convinced her saying,"Mom is in heaven, she will be watching us each and every second from heaven".
Sofia suddenly got an enlightenment. She wished to go to heaven to meet her mom and so she asked her dad," Papa how can I reach heaven?". Her dad was frightened and he told her "There is no way to go to heaven. Only God can take us to heaven. So you don't worry about your mom, You live your life happily. Your mom wanted to see you living happily".
Sofia gained some strength from her dad's words and started going to school. All her friends took care of her. They treated her as their sister and helped her to overcome the sadness.
Sofia's life slowly started to be colorful. The problem started when her dad decided to marry another woman(Rose). Sofia has seen lots of movies which pictured the step mother as a evil one.
So she didn't like her dad getting married to Rose. But she didn't express her feelings to her dad thinking that he may feel bad. At last her dad married Rose.
As expected, Rose was not good to Sofia. She hated Sofia. Sofia felt as if her father went away from her. Whenever she saw Rose and Dad chatting happily, she missed her mom very much. She didn't like to stay in the house.
Sofia decided to go to a beautiful and peaceful place. The only place she could think of was "HEAVEN". She started praying to God to take her to heaven. When God didn't answer her prayers, she was frustrated and decided to go to heaven by herself. So she surfed net to find out the ways to reach heaven. Then she came to the conclusion that the first step to reach heaven was to die.
She decided to die. She went to her mom's room, took all her mom's pills and started swallowing one by one. She felt herself melting,dissolving and disappearing. She was very happy that she was going to see her mom again.
When her dad came back from work, he searched for Sofia. And then found her dead in her mom's room. There was a letter lying on the table.
"DAD I LOVE YOU. NOW IT'S TIME TO LIVE WITH MOM. BYE DAD. EAT WELL. SLEEP WELL. TAKE CARE OF ROSE. I WILL COME BACK AFTER MEETING MOM.
