Hi everyone!!!
How are you all?
Hope you prayed for the Peshawar kids after reading my previous blog post.
Now I am on my way to my home town.
In my older post "traveling makes me happy" I told the happiness I get while traveling. This post is about the annoying things I am facing in this present journey!
First of all I must tell how I planned for this journey. I have only one day off for Christmas :-( How can they be so rude to give only one day off for Christmas?
I didn't have the plan of going to my hometown. My elder sister has come to Madurai. When I heard this I was really excited . I wanted to see my nephew and niece. But since 25th only is a holiday I was confused. It takes nearly 8 hours to reach Madurai from Chennai. I got permission to take leave on 26 th. Booked tickets. As usual the ticket fares were very high. I tried asking my mother to book tickets for me as I didn't want to spend my money. But my mother refused as booking tickets during festival season is a bit tedious.
I booked tickets. And the saddest thing is that I have to comeback on 27th as we have office on 27th.
Trust me the ticket fare was really very high. But I booked as I desperately wanted to go home. Seeing the ticket fare I thought that the bus would be so good.
The scheduled time for the bus was at 9.30.
I waited till 10.30pm. And then I saw a bus coming towards me. I was happy and was about to board but the driver told that it was 8.45pm scheduled bus. So I went back to my place. Then in order to confirm it, I asked him again. He checked again and told me that I have to board this bus only. Thank god I checked with him again.
From my four years of experience in traveling from Chennai to Madurai in bus, I was very confident that the ticket fare is directly proportional to the quality of bus. But today's journey in this heaven like bus proved me that my confidential statement after four years of experience is totally wrong !!!
This bus is my eye opener. Yes!! Ticket fare can sometimes be indirectly proportional to the quality of bus. The seats are black in color. I can hear my cute readers murmuring what is wrong in black color seats. If the bus seats are black in color right from the day the bus started running, it is not a problem. But if the seat color is actually blue and it has turned black just because of low maintenance, there lies the problem!!!!
The seats are too close that I am able to literally see the person sitting before me and I could see his activities. I'm not even able to stretch my legs.!!!! And the best part is I got my head hurt when I tried to get up from my seat as above my seat, they have given place for sleeper seats!!!
To my surprise, they gave a bourbon biscuit packet and a water bottle!!!!! But I didn't eat it as I was afraid of any poisoning!!! I'm smart right???
Ok now it's time to sleep as my co passenger looks irritated as my mobile's brightness disturbs his sleep!! Don't forget to follow me to know about my experience at my hometown!! Take care friends!!!!
