I am in a big trouble now :-( My family is pretty big .I have one elder sister,one elder brother,one younger sister.My elder sister complained to my amma that I have written a post about Vappa and I didn't write about my amma. My amma didn't take it seriously,Because she is very sweet.But I feel guilty,I have to write about amma. So now this post is about my amma.
Please answer this question:
Assume that you have given birth to a boy baby.Your brother doesn't have baby.He and his wife is coming and asking you to give your baby to them so that they could raise your baby as their baby.Will you give them?
My amma lost her mother and father when she was eight years old.After their death,she was raised by her brother and sister-in-law.She got married at the age of fifteen!!! I am sure she was not interested in marriage,as she was so young to get married.When I saw her marriage video,I was stunned.My amma was so young.If I ask her how she felt during marriage , she used to reply,"I am so lucky to marry your Vappa. God answered all my prayers".
My amma wears a diamond stud.Even for any family function,she never removes it.The reason behind this is,the stud was presented to my amma by Vappa with his first month salary.So she never removes it!!!
Amma liked her sister-in-law(my mami) a lot.My mami only raised my amma. My mami didn't have children.When my brother was born,she asked my amma to give her the baby.There were lot of opposition from my Father's side.But Vappa and amma decided to give them the baby.My Vappa's side relatives started scolding my amma and Vappa for their action.They even cursed them by telling that here after Allah will not bless you with a boy baby.Unfortunately my amma gave birth to two girls(myself and my sis).
After my brother,I was born.Really I didn't know that I had a brother for nearly 10 years.My brother grew in Chennai with my mami. He hated us a lot. He used to beat us,fight with us,hurt us. My mami died when my brother was 15 years old. After her death,my brother came to our house. He came to know about his adoption and started treating us as his sisters.
Amma studied up to 9th standard. She is the best amma. She is very good example for the saying"PADIKADHA MEDHAI"(English: Very much talented even though uneducated). Apart from household works,amma does all kind of works.Everyday morning she has to getup early,send us to school,go to market,send my Vappa,cook food,clean the house,etc.
It is a tedious job to maintain a house with three monkeys(my elder sis,my elder bro,my younger sis). Amma struggles a lot to control them.But I am not like that :-P. Of course I'm not a monkey :P
Of course she is sweet but if she gets angry,then we must be careful. Once we had a little fight,She got angry and threw a pickle bottle towards me.Thank God I escaped from that attack.
Her Boldness,Her Kindness,Her Character,Her Talkative Nature,Her love,Her Care makes Her the Best Amma!!!
Believe me or not,if I suffer from fever or stomach ache or any illness,I will become alright if I hear her consoling me!!!
She always supports me when I am in dilemma,helps me when I am in trouble.My inspiration and my role model is my Amma. I learnt many values from her.SHE is my everything. Amma loves WATER a lot.She will scold us if we waste water.
One more thing about my amma: She likes to hear songs composed to praise mothers.She keeps listening to those songs again and again.
I wonder how is she so patient and lovable.I must learn those attributes from her!!!
Last but not the least the name of my angel is A.S.A.M.FATHIMA.
